FAIRWINDS Credit Union is searching for an experienced, innovative leader as our next Vice President of Finance. Reporting directly to the CFO, this position is responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of financial management, including planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and risk management. The VP, Finance will collaborate closely with executive leadership to drive strategic financial initiatives, optimize operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Additionally, this role involves providing insightful guidance to support decision-making processes and fostering a culture of financial excellence within the organization.

This position is located in Orlando, FL and compensation begins at $163,000.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the organization's objectives and long-term growth plans. Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads to establish financial targets and performance metrics. Conduct regular financial analysis to assess the company's financial health, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.

Financial Reporting and Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify variances, trends, and opportunities for cost optimization or revenue enhancement. Present financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership and the Board of Directors, providing valuable input for strategic decision-making.

Treasury and Cash Management: Manage the organization's cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity to meet operational needs and strategic initiatives. Oversee banking relationships, including credit facilities, cash management services, and investment portfolios. Implement effective treasury policies and procedures to mitigate financial risks and maximize returns on investments.

Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks facing the organization, including market risks, credit risks, and operational risks. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets and reputation. Stay abreast of regulatory developments and industry trends related to financial risk management.

Experience/Skills:

10+ years in financial management roles with a proven track record and progressively increasing responsibilities. Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA or CPA preferred

Strong understanding of financial principles, including financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to financial institutions. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
