Sr. Software Dev Engineer on behalf of our client. This role is a full-time, 1099 contract staff augmentation position working with a company that is a leader in reducing electronic waste and finding value in gently used electronics. The Sr. Software Dev Engineer is a full-stack development position. You will be a core member of a fast-paced engineering team responsible for expanding our Kiosk applications, services, and databases. You will be responsible for designing and implementing new product features, adhering to and lease schedules, and establishing and supporting existing systems.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
Key Responsibilities Collaborate on cross-functional agile teams that include Product Owners, QA Engineers, Data Engineers, and fellow Software Engineers to design and implement the next generations of Kiosk applications and services Participate in our agile/scrum software engineering processes Work with product management to understand and validate user and technical requirements Work with project management to establish development and release schedules Work with engineering team members to support & diagnose existing systems Design and implement scale-able, secure, and high-performing microservices to support our Kiosk user interface and operations Interface with a variety of AWS-managed services and databases Implement well-architected, well-documented, high-quality code at a fast pace Mentor other team members on software development best practices Education & Experience BS/MS in Computer Science or 4+ years of equivalent work experience 8+ years overall software technology experience, including developing and maintaining large-scale enterprise applications. Experience migrating from WCF to WebAPI a plus Experience migrating from monolith to microservices a plus Experience with security, logging, monitoring (DataDog) best practices Elasticache / Redis and cache strategies,Proficient understanding of web verbs, JSON and XML protocols Javascript libraries: Knockout, Angular, Bootstrap, Underscore, Moment, jquery SQS, SNS, or Kafka,Full-Stack C# / ASP.NET,C# , .NET 4.5+ | Core, WebAPI, MVC,Javascript, HTML, CSS Strong experience with the AWS ecosystem and services. EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, SQS, SNS, etc Proficient knowledge in SQL Server and scalable query building Experience engineering .net web/API services, serverless, Lambdas, Kafka workflow Step Functions,Entity Framework ORM and LINQ Experience writing unit tests or TDD using XUnit Authorization and Authentication solutions (OAUTH, API Gateway),Docker / Containerization
