Summary
A Maintenance Electrician is responsible for the electrical safety of the facility/site in which he/she works in. He/she is responsible for reporting, troubleshooting, and preventing electrical problems daily. He/she is responsible for efficiently and effectively installing electrical equipment and material to complete assigned tasks.

Summary
A Maintenance Electrician is responsible for the electrical safety of the facility/site in which he/she works in. He/she is responsible for reporting, troubleshooting, and preventing electrical problems daily. He/she is responsible for efficiently and effectively installing electrical equipment and material to complete assigned tasks.
Required Qualifications/Experiences:
- 5 Years+ Experience in Electrical Maintenance. Active Texan Journeyman License Preferred.
- Possess personal hand tools to perform routine electrical work.
- Attention to detail and initiative to be self-motivated and directed.
- Must have working knowledge of current national electrical and city codes.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and components.
- Knowledge of Motor Controls and PLC's
- Ability and experience to install and /or replace electrical circuits indoors and outdoors.
- Ability and understanding to troubleshoot electrical circuits and determine issues and solutions.
- Ability to plan, layout and install electrical wiring, equipment and/or fixtures.
- Current TWIC card or ability to acquire.
- Valid Driver's License
- Attend daily safety briefings.
- Maintain safe working conditions at all times.
- Maintain condition, functionality and use of proper PPE (Personal Protective
Equipment) at all times. - Skilled at testing and troubleshooting electrical circuits utilizing voltmeter/multimeter.
- Measure, cut and bend wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools.
- Strip insulation from wire ends, using wire stripping pliers and attach wires to
terminals for termination. - Drill holes and pull or push wire through openings, using hand and power tools.
- Thread conduit ends, connect couplings and fabricate and secure conduit support.
brackets, using hand tools. - Dig trenches or holes for installation of conduit or supports.
- Break up concrete to facilitate installation, construction or repair of equipment.
- Perform skilled and semi-skilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment.
- Other duties may be assigned by the Facility Manager.

- Stand, walk, bend, kneel and sit for extended periods of time.

- Work from heights on elevated platforms and boom lifts.

- Work outdoors in dusty/dirty environment.
- Walk and Work on uneven surfaces (gravel, ballast rock).
- Work in extreme (summer high temps, winter low temps) weather conditions.
