Technical Project Manager

Responsibilities:

Manages technology projects or multiple technical workstreams within a broader project or program. Develops, implements, and monitors project plans. Contributes expertise to major project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.

Experience working with hybrid workforce with onshore/offshore teams. Own responsibility for improving the hybrid delivery model, championing accountability in both directions between Vanguard and global partners and proactively solutioning and removing roadblocks.

Build productive working relationships with key partners to ensure recommendations and priorities are understood by all impacted parties. Leverage influencing and negotiation skills to champion optimal solutions. Act as an advocate for change to introduce new technologies and processes to shape the business strategy.

Translate business problems into strategic and cost-effective technology solution alternatives. Leverage broad IT knowledge to research emerging technologies and apply to business problems.

Partner with business and IT leaders to align business initiatives, priorities, and schedules based on strategic business and IT plans.

Provides insight on best practices and common obstacles based on prior experiences. Serves as a trusted advisor to ensure strategies are aligned with the overall company strategy and market conditions.

Communicates project status and issues regularly to stakeholders, including leaders, team members, and senior managers. Conduct continuous improvement sessions; ensure lessons and recommendations are incorporated.

Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum of five years related work experience. Two years of managing a project preferred. Financial Services and technical experience preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior stakeholders, hiring managers, data practitioners and team members.

Experience in creating and managing feedback mechanisms to drive continuous improvement is a plus.

Undergraduate degree in related field (Computer Science, Engineering) required. Graduate degree preferred.
