Position: Staff Accountant Reports to: CFO Location: Onsite daily, Dallas 75220 Employment Type: Full-Time Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining efficient processes. Key Responsibilities: Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payments, and collections, to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions. Reconciliation: Reconcile cash, bank accounts, and revenue accounts, ensuring all discrepancies are resolved and records are maintained accurately. General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain an accurate general ledger, making necessary adjustments as needed to ensure proper recording of financial transactions. Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries for all accounts, including fixed assets, and ensure proper documentation and approval for all entries. Cash Flow Monitoring: Monitor the company’s cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for operations and making recommendations for improving cash management. Invoicing & Collections: Issue invoices to customers, track receivables, and collect payments in a timely manner, coordinating with other departments to resolve customer billing inquiries. Tax Preparation & Reporting: Prepare and file tax returns, as well as monthly and quarterly financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and deadlines. Tax Remittances: Remit payroll, income, sales, and use taxes as required, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to relevant authorities. Payroll Processing: Process employee timesheets and manage payroll, ensuring accuracy in wage calculations, deductions, and benefits. Supervision Potential: As the role evolves, there may be an opportunity to supervise and mentor accounting staff, including payroll clerks, billing clerks, and accounts payable clerks. Audit Support: Gather and organize documentation for auditing purposes, working closely with external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy. Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the finance department, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience as a staff accountant or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc.) and Microsoft Excel. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and integrity. Knowledge of tax preparation, payroll processing, and financial reporting.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a supervisory or team lead role is a plus. Familiarity with accounting regulations and best practices. Offering $65-85k depending on experience
