RF Engineer

Our client is an industry leader in the wireless industry looking for an experienced RF Engineer to join their growing team in the Rochester area on a long term contractual basis. 

Description

As an RF Engineer, you’ll be supporting some of the major tools and process that the RF and SP teams will utilize to improve network performance and customer experience. You’ll play a key role in making sure our customers continue to enjoy the crystal-clear connections and top-notch call performance that we are known for.

• Using knowledge of 5G, LTE, IP, and microwave to contribute to network design.

• Maintain and Develop RF/SP Reporting tools and algorithms

• Extract and manipulate data from multiple datasets to deliver reports, tools, and process improvements

• Work with local RF and SP teams to develop tools and reports needed to efficiently diagnose and monitor the network.

• Maintaining accuracy of the databases and tools to ensure proper reporting.

You will also have the opportunity for involvement in the system performance aspects of macro network engineering in a challenging RF environment and getting involved in all aspects of deployment and optimizations from the initial integration phase through the final testing and acceptance phase.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experience.

• Four or more years of relevant work experience.

• Experience in RF design and optimization.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Understanding of 5G and LTE network KPIs and key parameters.

• Knowledge of various IB RF tools such as iBwave.

• Knowledge of IB DAS systems (JMA, SOliD, Commscope).

• Advanced knowledge of Excel, including VB macro creation and worksheet manipulation.

• Experience with a project workflow tool is a plus, e.g. Fuze.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00
