Description
- Lead and manage a team of three finance professionals, overseeing daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Develop and monitor financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to ensure alignment with the company's strategic goals.
- Oversee cash flow management, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations and investments.
- Provide financial reporting and analysis to ownership and senior leadership, offering actionable insights to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, industry standards, and internal controls.
- Collaborate with project managers and operational leaders to monitor project costs, profitability, and financial performance.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and efficiency enhancements within financial operations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to ownership on financial strategy, investments, and growth opportunities.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience in the construction industry is required.
- Strong knowledge of construction accounting, including project costing, WIP reporting, revenue recognition standards, and AIA Billing.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to managing financial operations.
