I further attest that all information I submit in my employment application is true to the best of my knowledge.Job DescriptionAbout the role:Procurement Excellence Manager will lead the delivery of procurement excellence capabilities in the US Region that increases the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire US Region Procurement organization. Under the programs strategized, designed and led by the Procurement Excellence Manager, US Region Procurement will excel in delivering best value to the organization both financially and beyond. The role will cover all aspects of procurement excellence and will work on deliverables that are category agnostic.This role will work closely with the US Region Procurement category teams, USBU and OBU stakeholders, Global Finance, TBS and Procurement Excellence Manager within the Procurement Center of Excellence (CoE) to deliver the global procurement capabilities and processes within the US Region across business units and categories of spend.This role is responsible for delivering procurement excellence within the procurement capabilities and processes in the US Region. Examples of these capabilities can include a Procurement experience program, Preferred supplier process, digital wrapper, TPRM, ESG, Sustainability, Supplier Diversity, DPO, digital initiatives, etc.The role will also be responsible for designing and implementing best practices for the procurement organization. GREFP tools (e.g. Archlet) and deployment of the internal rate and benchmark database are examples of such best practices. The candidate will work on deploying these tools beyond the originated category and will work on necessary adjustments to finetune such tools according to the needs of other categories.The role would be responsible for other duties as assigned.How you will contribute:The Procurement Excellence Manager will be responsible for:Leading and embedding transformation projects, developing & deploying processes & systems, and proactively managing governance & compliance across the US Region business unitsDeveloping and delivering procurement tools, and templates to ensure effective measurement of procurement processes in the US RegionLeading procurement excellence performance analysis of KPIs, reporting key results and risks/issues to procurement leadershipProviding procurement excellence input as the subject matter expert to the Procurement COE and US Region category team in building up procurement excellence, focusing on the execution of category strategiesEnsuring procurement excellence systems and/or processes are “fit for purpose” and compliance measures are in placeDriving effective teamwork, collaboration, and close dialogue with all interfacing functions to ensure a seamless efficient approach to information exchange and process flows to other areas within the procurement function. This can include, along with the US Region Procurement Leads, partnering with the US Region Business Unit CFOs to prioritize initiatives and specific activities and feeding this into the management of the portfolio of procurement initiatives for the US Region Business Units.Leading engagements with a wide range of stakeholders across US Region business units, US Procurement, Procurement Center of Excellence, Global Procurement and TBS to ensure initiatives are being delivered in line with timeframes.Delivering regular updates to the US Region business unit CFOs, US Region Procurement Leads, and US Region GREFP Lead with detailed status reporting.Skills and qualifications:BA/BS required11+ years in category management, project management, consulting and/or process experience in a related disciplineStrong process expertiseExceptionally skilled at deploying new tools & programsAbility to engage and partner with other groups and stakeholdersProven financial and business acumenExcellent communication skills to ensure best partnering within and outside of US Region.More about us:At Takeda, we are transforming patient care through the development of novel specialty pharmaceuticals and best in class patient support programs. For Location:Boston, MAU.S. Base Salary Range:149,100.00 - 234,300.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives.
