Client Details

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for large-scale construction projects. The Senior Estimator will work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of the project are properly evaluated and accounted for, delivering timely and precise estimates that support the overall project goals.

Description

  • Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and other associated costs.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to understand project requirements and potential risks.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to gather pricing information and evaluate competitive bids.
  • Analyze historical data, trends, and market conditions to ensure estimates are based on the most current information.
  • Prepare bid packages, submit proposals, and present cost estimates to clients, project teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Assess the impact of potential design changes or project scope modifications on overall project costs.
  • Identify and quantify project risks and provide recommendations for mitigating cost overruns.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to review project progress and forecast future costs to ensure alignment with initial estimates.
  • Maintain detailed records of estimates, including all assumptions, qualifications, and exclusions, for future reference.
  • Assist in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives during the project planning and construction phases.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and construction methods to ensure estimates reflect the latest developments and cost efficiencies.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as an estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on large-scale commercial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Sage Estimating) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Experience in preparing detailed cost estimates for a wide range of construction disciplines (e.g., general construction, MEP, site work).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide solutions to complex estimating challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with project teams and clients.
  • Attention to detail and a strong understanding of cost control and budgeting processes.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple estimates simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
  • A strong understanding of local construction market trends, material pricing, and labor rates.
  • LEED or other industry certifications are a plus.
