The mission of the National Security Division (NSD) is to carry out the Department's highest priority: to combat terrorism and other threats to national security. The Infrastructure Support and Software Development Services division provides all IT services necessary to support the NSD's Infrastructure & Operations as well as Software Development, Engineering, and Service Desk. The Senior Network Administrator administers, supports, and maintains network capabilities, including wide area and local area networks. Performs operations and support activities. Assists applications programmers working in the networking environments. Evaluates network changes for operational impact. Evaluates network performance and resolves network and connectivity problems. Familiar with hardware and software diagnostic tools. Responsibilities

Manages local area network performance and troubleshoots problems. Maintain Network infrastructure in accordance with STIG guidelines. Use of Excel Spread sheets to maintain records. Qualifications

5+ years of Network Administration/Engineering experience Demonstrated professional experience with Cisco and Juniper technologies Experience with Hardware/Equipment (not all required):

Cisco routers (25xx, 26xx, 36xx, 38xx, 45xx, 92xx, 93xx,12xx series) Catalyst (29xx, 35xx, 37xx, 45xx 55xx, 65xx series) Nexus (1k, 2k, 5k, 7k), ASA 55xx, Firepower, (FTD) ACS, ASR 1004 Juniper routers/switches/Firewalls (SRX/EX)

Network Protocols and Technologies:

OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, RIP, IGRP/EIGRP, IPv6, HSRP, VRRP, AAA, TACACS, RADIUS, ACL, IPSec, GRE, PPTP, PPP, HDLC, ISL, 802.1q, 802.1x

Good understanding of Layer 1 and 2 troubleshooting and technologies

DESIRED: Cisco certifications, desired (CCNA, CCNP) POSITION EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree preferred; can be substituted with an additional 2+ years related experience. SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Active Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a DOJ SCI WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Candidate must be able to function in general office environment.
