We believe forming bonds and connecting with each other only stands to strengthen the service we provide to our members in our mission of improving the Quality of Financial lives!Overview: As the subject matter expert in General Electric Credit Union's product and service (herein called products) lines and competitive landscape, you will support the development of new products/services and enhancement of existing products/services to engage members, deepen relationships, and improve the quality of their financial life. This position will collaborate with internal partners to thoroughly understand our products' key features and benefits to solidify and clearly communicate product positioning, as well as use product and industry knowledge to educate team members.Essential Responsibilities: Product Positioning and Messaging Develop clear and compelling product messaging that informs and resonates with target audiences (e.g. product sheets). Craft value propositions that differentiate products in the marketplace. Collaborate with Communications team members to align messaging across all member touchpoints. This includes supporting: targeted direct mail and email campaigns, social media content, and general product awareness initiatives. Evaluate product marketing strategies/plans and collaborate with other Communications team members to ensure plans align with overall GECU strategies. Develop an in-depth understanding of GECU's brand and product lines, along with their relevance in the market and the competitive landscape. Market Research and Competitive Analysis Understand and utilize membership data, product penetration, product strategy, knowledge of the market, and competition to effectively support strategic direction. Analyze member sentiments from any source of data collection (e.g. survey, feedback forms, etc.) to provide suggestions for consumer needs and future products. Maintain an updated resource of competitors' offerings and identify opportunities for differentiation. Go-To-Market Strategies Support the growth of the Credit Union by developing new and existing products. Partner with product managers to define product launch strategies and timelines. Support cross-functional efforts to execute go-to-market plans, ensuring alignment across teams. Develop launch materials such as: product briefs, overviews, and FAQs. Campaign Collaboration Monitor the performance of product marketing initiatives and optimize strategies for better results. Collaborate with the Communications team to determine targeted audiences for campaigns based on consumer and member data. Develop product personas to act as the voice of the product. Team Member Resources and Engagement Assist in the development of internal product marketing communications. Create materials for product changes, enhancements, and launches; including training tools, resources, content, and facilitation. Model the GECU "HATS" core values (Honesty, Accountability, Teamwork, Solutions-Focused). Communicates and instills our mission, vision, common purpose, and goals through all efforts. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in product marketing, marketing communications, or a related role.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented, organized; ability to multitask and adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. Proficient in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva, preferred. Strong understanding of market research, customer segmentation, and competitive analysis.
