Data Integration Engineer
who knows data and how to process it regardless of type, size and complexity. This is a remote position, but candidates are preferred in the Washington D.C. metro area.
Key Responsibilities:
Specialization in integrating data from various sources such as Mongo DB, DataBricks, Informatica, Oracle etc..Be a Big Data Subject Matter Expert for the team and the customer Analyze requirements and Big Data datasets, design data processing solutions around technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, etc. and knowledgeable about the infrastructure requirements to support the effort Have broad understanding of the technology landscape for Big Data types (RDBMS, NOSQL, Graph, Document, etc.), analysis and stream processing, clusters, scalability, queries, and reporting Hands-on experience with database design, normalization, data lake, structured/semi-structured/unstructured datasets, and familiarity with HDFS, Kafka, ETL, RDMS, NOSQL, SQL, Data Engineering and data related tools, programming languages and technologies Work with business analysts to gather business requirements from end-users and translate them into technical specifications. Gather requirements to develop solutions, define data extraction, transformation logic, and data models, data flow, and process. Ability to analyze databases, schemas, triggers, stored procedures Verify implemented solution whether requirements have been met Provide end-user support in post-deployment phases; assess and evaluate all feedback to ensure that the requirements necessary to correct issues are addressed. Minimum 15 years of data processing experience Solid understanding of the software development process, including requirement gathering, analysis/design, development tools/technologies, release/version control, contemporary testing methodologies, and deployment management. Minimum Requirements:
US citizen, must have an active IRS MBI Public Trust clearance. Minimum of
15 years
of professional experience in data science, including planning, conducting, and participating in complex technology implementations or data analytics projects. Bachelor's Degree
in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required. Good verbal and written communication skills.
