Overview
Come Find Your Spark at Quartz! Quartz seeking a Senior ETL Developer to join our Enterprise Data Management (EDW) Team. This position will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of extract, transform, and load (ETL) logic necessary to cleanse and move data from various source systems into the corporate data warehouse. This role will be responsible for the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of complex ETL processes in the support of data warehouses, data marts, and operational data stores. This position will determine appropriate design for ETL applications and gather information to determine data sources, data targets, data transformation rules, data relationships, and business rules. The Senior ETL Developer will utilize the following skills on a regular basis: Proficiency in working with the Informatica ETL Tool
Operational Support of production and monitoring processes, including being part of on-call rotation Collaboration and communication skills to work in a team environment with other Enterprise Data Management Teams (Analysts, testers, and other developers) Benefits: Work in new cloud-based data architecture leveraging Snowflake, Python, and Azure environment Starting salary range based upon skills and experience: $83,800 - $104,800 plus robust benefits package Responsibilities
Translate data movement needs into technical ETL designs. Map source systems to logical and physical data models. Monitor and take appropriate steps to maintain integrity of the data warehouse databases including content, security, and privacy issues. Identify opportunities for improving efficiency and/or effectiveness of processes and controls. Work closely with Data Warehouse Team to develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models as needed to meet requirements. Independently design complex Data Warehouse workflows and mappings to extract, transform, and load data into target environments. Design and develop data extraction and transmissions to external vendors. Develop test plans and perform unit testing of own work and that of junior developers. Act as a senior developer by directing junior developers on company protocols, ETL design and coding. Provide technical expertise on ETL design, data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration. Review technical designs, application code and other documentation created by junior developers; provide feedback and remediation to drive completion of a solid design and deployment. Assist in directing priorities and remove obstacles for junior developers according to project plans and known business priorities. Participate in on-call rotation (after hours, nights and weekends). Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 4+ years of Information Technology experience* OR
Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field with 7+ years of Information Technology experience* OR
High School equivalency with 10 years of Information Technology experience* *Information Technology experience is defined as: industry ETL software or equivalent integration processes, normalized relational databases and dimensional data warehouse implementations, complex SQL query development, and translating business and data requirements into technical solutions Advanced proficiency in Informatica PowerCenter ETL tool Advanced proficiency in SQL development, preferably on multiple database management platforms Advanced knowledge of data warehousing concepts, structures, and ETL best practices Intermediate experience with query tools (BusinessObjects, Cognos, MS Query or SAS) is beneficial Advanced problem solving and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and delivery results in a timely manner Ability to understand and discuss technical software issues with others Must be inquisitive and seek answers to questions without being asked Ability to work independently, under pressure, and be adaptable to change Effective interaction with external and internal parties, including vendors and contractors We offer an excellent benefit and compensation package, opportunity for career advancement and a professional culture built on the foundations of Respect, Responsibility, Resourcefulness and Relationships.
