This position requires a highly skilled and versatile individual, a quick learner with a strong ability to research and pick up new technologies and skills and be able to work independently with high-level directions.
Responsibilities: The selected candidate will work as part of Semantic AI’s DevOps, Cloud, SCM team, monitoring, maintaining, and enhancing the company’s AWS infrastructure, including SCM/CI/CD servers, development servers, internal and external application servers, with a specific focus on supporting the product delivery to customers in addition to supporting the development team to meet company’s fast-growing business needs
Requirements Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Engineering/Science degree in Computers/Information Technologies/ Electrical/Electronic or equivalent with relevant skills
Minimum Qualifications: Three (3) to five (5) years of experience with installation, maintenance, and administering Linux servers, services, and applications (CentOS/RedHat). Five (5) years of experience in managing application development, software delivery lifecycle, and/or infrastructure development and administration. Minimum of five (5) years’ design and implementation of Continuous Delivery and/or DevOps solutions or architecture patterns. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with code repository management, code merge, and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment & management using tools like Jenkins, SVN, Git, Ansible, Artifactory, Service Now, Sonar, Selenium. Minimum of five (5) years of experience with approaches and tooling for automated build, delivery, and release of the software. Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in an Agile delivery environment. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in automation scripting using one or more of the following languages: Perl, Ruby, Bash, or Python. Strong expertise in setting up, securing, managing, and monitoring AWS infrastructure. (VPC, EC2, ECS, Security, Access, etc.) Excellent communication and customer engagement skills Ability to apply excellent problem-solving skills in customer and third party environments (physically and virtually) with the ability to effectively collaborate with customer and third party team members to resolve technical challenges Ability to work both as part of a team as well as in a self-directed manner Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility Strong expertise in at least 2/3rd of the following: Setting up and managing applications in a Linux server environment including Jenkins, Nexus, Fortify SSC, Nessus, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Nginx, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, etc. Creation and/or administration of CI/CD technologies including Jenkins, build agents, automation scripts Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform, Packer Docker, Containers, Kubernetes, AWS ECS, Service Discovery, and Autoscaling SCM tools, processes, and best practices, including Git TLS, SSH, Security Certificates, GPG, encryption, networking, and security Backups and restores, disaster recovery, and high availability Azure and AWS infrastructure including Virtual Network, Compute, Security, Access Sonatype Nexus repository manager, IQ server, yum repos, Docker registry Understanding and ability to support always-on, always up services including managing 24/7 on-call services and handling infrastructure issues in real-time Experience using system monitoring tools and stacks such as ELK, Prometheus, Splunk, Logstash, and Graphana to effectively track infrastructural health and the automation of alerting mechanisms when vital resources require attention Preferred Qualifications: AWS Associate Level Certification Supporting Java development, good knowledge of Maven and poms Software packaging, including rpm, Install4j Atlassian servers and cloud-hosted services, including Bitbucket, JIRA Supporting Agile software development teams Fast learner, ability to research and pick up new technologies and skills Strong ability to work independently taking high-level directions and putting the solution in place Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K
