Cybersecurity Support Engineer

Piper Federal is looking for a Cybersecurity Support Engineer to join a DoD IT consulting company. This position is based in the Wright Patterson Air Force Base with 1-2 days onsite week. Essential Duties of the Cybersecurity Support Engineer: Provide systems engineering expertise in the design, integration, operation, and maintenance of cybersecurity infrastructure and capabilities. Utilize defense-in-depth strategies and methods to harden systems and networks (e.g. blocking/filtering, IDS/IPS, A/V, logical separation of management traffic, content detonation and automated analysis, and DISA SRG/STIG compliance). Maintain the establishment of infrastructure services supporting cybersecurity environments such as directory services in support of authentication, networking monitoring services, domain name services, virtual hosting infrastructure, etc. Penetration testing with red team and blue team. Qualifications of the Cybersecurity Support Engineer: 5 years of experience with Linux 3 years of experience with IDS, IPS, and host based security solutions At least a secret security clearance if not higher.
