Their expertise spans across preclinical discovery, testing, and development, with a focus on the production and phenotyping of genetically engineered mouse models. They have an established market internationally and are looking to build out and expand their services in the United States.
Description
My client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior/Manager Business Development with a technical preclinical background and expertise in immuno-oncology, oncology, degenerative disorders, or related therapeutic area. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding their business by identifying strategic opportunities, fostering partnerships, and driving revenue growth. This role is for the Midwest Territory.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors related to preclinical discovery and development.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Technical Expertise: Leverage a strong technical background in preclinical research, with a focus on immuno-oncology, oncology, degenerative disorders, or related areas to effectively communicate with clients and internal teams.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic plans for business development, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify opportunities and mitigate potential challenges.
- Proposal Development: Lead the development of high-quality proposals and presentations, showcasing the company's capabilities and value proposition.
- Contract Negotiation: Drive successful contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms for both the company and clients.
- Close/Win new Business: Prospect and identify potential clients, selling solutions and closing new deals
Profile
- Bachelors, Master's, Ph.D. in a relevant scientific field.
- Proven experience in preclinical research, with a focus on immuno-oncology, oncology, degenerative disorders, or related areas.
- Previous experience with genetically engineered mouse models is highly preferred.
- Previous experience or exposure to a commercial/business development role in the pharmaceutical or CRO industry.
- General knowledge of experience of pharmaceutical development.
- Strong network within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
- Rolodex of clients in the Midwest territory.
- Able to work independently and organize portfolio of business
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Candidates ideally located in Midwest territory.
