This is a 6 month contract within the legal and compliance division that is currently 5 days in the office. This contract has the ability to be a long termed engagement. This consultant will be responsible for identifying/reporting any suspicious activity, investigating any documentation needed, preparing SAR's and performing 90 day reviews.

Our client is a large, foreign, International Bank. With it's full-fledged services, our client specialize in corporate lending, international trade services, treasury business, U.S. dollar clearing, retail banking, correspondent banking and various other lines of business

Description

  • Monitor information and the consultant will be responsible for identifying/reporting suspicious activity
  • Complete all tasks in a timely manner
  • Review, investigate and document the narratives for the cases that need to be escalated
  • Prepare SAR's on an as needed basis
  • Follow all SAR Team procedures
  • Perform reconciliation of cases and follow up every 90 days
  • Perform 90 day reviews on the transactions
  • Be able to communicate all findings and improvements when conducting special investigations
  • Help train new associates when needed
  • Assist with projects that are focused on AML initiatives
  • Keep up to date with all laws, regulations and regulatory guidance that apply to this role and department

Profile

  • Immediately available for work
  • Obtained a Bachelor's degree of higher
  • CAMS is not required but preferred
  • 3+ years of experience within financial services
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong experience with preparing SAR's, AML/BSA responsibilities, transaction monitoring and policies and procedures
  • Experience with a high volume of SAR's and focusing on high risk jurisdictions
  • US dollar clearing experience
  • Excellent skills with presentations, speaking with senior management, working directly with regulators & auditors, written/verbal formats and organizational skills as well.
  • Authorized to work in the US and local to Midtown NYC

Job Offer

This contract is offering a consultant a 6 month contract with the ability to potentially be extended. The client is offering a hourly market rate and is looking to bring someone on ASAP.
