The Opportunity: As the Technical Lead, Experience, you will oversee a net new engineering squad aligned to addressing key gaps in the customer journey that cause inefficiencies in our GTM efforts and friction in customer experiences platform wide. This squad will be responsible for improving areas such as the trial sign-up process, onboarding, first-time tenant setup, in-app billing, module expansions and much more. This high visibility squad provides a unique opportunity to iterate quickly, experiment, and identify the best solutions to improve conversion and retention across all of Kandji’s products. You will also be accountable for maintaining your engineering team’s health and continuously improving its productivity. Finally, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a world-class, inclusive culture within your team. How you'll make a difference day to day: Lead a team of talented engineers who like to ship high-quality code and tackle hard engineering problems. Create a collaborative work environment that fosters autonomy, inclusivity, innovation, learning, respect, and transparency while holding a high bar for craftsmanship. Contribute to and/or execute on the organization’s vision and standards around security, quality, observability, and clean code. Contribute well-written and well-documented code to deliver end-to-end functionality and further drive us to our goals while maintaining quality within the codebase. Share your knowledge with team members by reviewing code, collaborating on design documents, giving technical talks, formal mentorship, and JIT feedback. Collaborate closely with the Design and Product teams to ensure that your team has a well-defined roadmap. Collaborate with other engineering teams to identify and successfully evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity, code quality, automated testing, or other engineering best practices. Facilitate the squad’s agile meetings by taking on the scrum master role. We’d love to hear from you if you have: 7 years of experience designing, building and deploying scalable frontend and backend applications leveraging modern languages and frameworks (Python, Django, FastAPI and React preferred). 2 years of hands-on technical leadership and people management experience. Experience driving the design and implementation of large-scale initiatives for SaaS products. Experience working in high growth startup environments and comfortable balancing tactical and strategic considerations. Deep understanding of agile methodologies/mindset and experience facilitating agile ceremonies. Thrives in an environment with a high level of autonomy and responsibility. Strong communication skills with a customer focus. Quality first mindset. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Required to work on-site Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday. Nice to haves, but NOT required: Experience working in a (mostly) monolithic application and helping evolve it to a service-oriented or event-driven architecture. Experience with managing a large fleet of Apple devices in an Enterprise environment (Mac admin) is a plus. Enthusiasm for all Apple devices and services.
