The Job Our client is looking for a Senior EMI/EMC Engineer reporting to the Director of RF Engineering to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. Functions Enhance the EMI/EMC team with technical leadership, grounding their decisions with experience as well as engineering & physics fundamentals Development of EMI/EMC requirements for spacecraft and components Derivation and distribution of EMI & in space environmental requirements Tailor industry standards for spacecraft and missions Work directly with cross functional teams to guide best practices for EMI/EMC design & test Perform analysis & measurement on avionics sub-circuits, components, and systems to enhance understanding of EMI/EMC performance & risk Support EMI/EMC qualification test of spacecraft and components Contribute to a culture of extreme ownership by understanding and articulating to others how EMI relates to all subsystems and disciplines in human rated spacecraft Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering, physics, or related STEM discipline 4 years of experience working in EMI/EMC/Physics related role Preferred Skills Ms or PhD in electrical engineering, physics, or related STEM discipline Experience in EMI/EMC, in space charging for spacecraft, triboelectrification, grounding & bonding Prior experience in an electronics or electrical systems design role Experience with software development & modeling in Matlab, Python, etc. Experience with digital communications standards such as Ethernet, RS-422, PCIe, GMII, etc Experience with MIL-STD-461 compliance test (procedures, facilities, equipment, etc) Deep understanding of electromagnetics, plasma effects, and triboelectric effects on spacecraft systems Strong sense of accountability and integrity with excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to teach people of a multitude of education and industry backgrounds about EMI/EMC Posted: Monday, June 3, 2024 Job 677 Position Contact Michael Hentrich Talent Partner Houston, TX Feel free to reach out to me directly about this role, would love to share more info 1 254 855 6236 michaelgalaxytekhires.com J-18808-Ljbffr
