General Litigation Associate Attorney

The ideal candidate will have strong legal research, drafting, and courtroom skills, with experience in both state and federal courts preferred. This role involves representing clients in court, handling depositions, preparing for trial, and managing a varied caseload with high organizational skills and attention to detail. Job Duties: Conduct legal research and analysis on complex litigation issues. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents. Take and defend depositions, including those of expert witnesses. Prepare cases for trial and assist at trial as appropriate for your level of experience. Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other proceedings. Communicate effectively and timely with clients and colleagues. Travel as required for court appearances, site inspections, and depositions. Defend cases involving consumer claims, breach of contract, general negligence, and other tort claims. Update clients through case reporting and telephone conferences on significant developments. Support client development and marketing efforts in collaboration with partners. Develop legal skills through in-firm mentoring, in-house training, and professional development activities. Requirements: Admission to the State Bar of California. 1-10 years of experience in general litigation. Experience in both state and federal courts preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to deliver a high-quality work product. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Education and Certifications: Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school. Active membership in the State Bar of California.
