MetaPhase Consulting is seeking an Enterprise Architect to join our growing team in support of a federal customer. The EA will work directly with senior client staff to align business and technology resources to achieve strategic outcomes. The process of describing the current and future state of the agency, and laying out a plan for transitioning from the current state to the desired future state, helps the agency eliminate waste and duplication, increase shared services, close performance gaps, and promote engagement among government, industry, and citizens. Decisions may include the modernization of legacy applications to standard platforms, migration of stand-alone systems to core data centers, or nomination of enterprise standards for key functions. The EA is expected to collaborate with experts of other disciplines in building and communicating a recommendation to the team and to the client organization.

Basic Qualifications (Required)

Experience performing relevant work in support of government financial regulators (e.g., SEC, FFIEC, FDIC, OCC, FRB, NCUA) and/or financial services organizations. 6 years’ experience with developing enterprise architectures, including 3 years involving cloud services and technologies (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS). 5 years' experience performing gap analysis between current and target architectures, and development of a roadmap designed to transition organizations from current to target architectures over time, accounting for organizational priorities, available resources and project solution interdependencies. 3 years’ use of the Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF), Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DODAF), and/or the Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF). 3 years’ experience performing technology research and evaluations for a broad set of services / technologies across multiple disciplines, including analysis of alternatives (AoA) in areas such as cloud, mobility, advanced data analytics, and/or security services. 3 years' experience with zero trust architecture. 3 years' experience with enterprise platforms such as: Salesforce, ServiceNow, MS Office 365, Qualtrics, Mulesoft, and AWS service platforms. Federal Government Compliance experience (NIST, FedRAMP) with open systems in SaaS and Cloud PaaS and IaaS environments (AWS and Azure). Support for internal and external audits related to enterprise architecture (e.g. system inventories), project governance, and change / configuration management. Experience in project management, client relationship building, and conducting executive briefings. Essential Responsibilities

Support the continual definition and elaboration of the enterprise-wide current and target architectures for the near term (1-2 years) through longer term (3-5 years). Promote usage of cloud services (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS); increased mobile services for a remote and distributed workforce; continued development of an integrated and layered security architecture (e.g., Zero Trust Architecture); and advanced analytics supporting U.S. financial market analysis and consumer financial risk identification and mitigation based on market data. Contribute to the development of the Technology Roadmap that describes the transition from current state to targeted architectures over the next 3 years. This includes assistance in defining the priority and sequence of transition projects, recognizing interdependencies among projects and with ongoing operations Organize and facilitate architecture working groups to assist with: the identification and evaluation of new technologies applicable to the agency, the development and building of consensus to targets, development and maintenance of standards, and alignment of projects with the agency’s target architecture. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $150-175K.
