is seeking for a
Systems Administrator
to support the stable, efficient operation of our client's IT systems and infrastructure in
Austin, Texas.
This role includes managing servers, domain and DNS configurations, user and domain security, and adherence to ITIL-based ticketing practices. The candidate will support critical TIERS systems and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation as required.

Please note:
Position will be remote. The program will only allow candidates who are local to Austin, Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform server administration tasks, including hardware upgrades, patch management, and performance optimization. Manage domain/DNS tasks and administer user/domain security in adherence to organizational policies. Provide 24x7 on-call support and participate in scheduled rotations for critical systems. Support ITIL-based ticketing systems such as Remedy and ServiceNow. Collaborate with contractors and cloud service providers (CSPs) to coordinate maintenance activities, including security patching and compliance with the TIERS Security Program. Administer and troubleshoot Windows Systems, including Group Policy, Kerberos, NTLM, TCP/IP, WINS, DNS, DHCP, and PXE. Provide support for Linux systems and network administration. Ensure compliance with IT governance, security, and privacy policies. Configure, maintain, and optimize virtualization technologies, including Hyper-V and VMware. Manage Active Directory, LDAP, and related directory services. Support cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure, focusing on Windows and Linux systems. Install and configure clustered SQL Server environments and provide support for Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise. Manage Web Application Firewalls (Imperva and AWS WAF). Utilize monitoring and capacity management tools to ensure optimal system performance. Write concise reports and documentation for technical and non-technical audiences. Identify, analyze, and resolve system issues, providing effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Experience with automation tools such as Ansible. Familiarity with SFTP/FTPS, Kubernetes, and open-source software. Hands-on experience with server hardware replacement and upgrades. Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate complex activities. High-level knowledge of network facilities, computer hardware/software, and data processing techniques. Expertise in Active Directory, LDAP, and DN systems. Proficiency in ITIL-based practices for incident and problem management. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to evaluate and implement solutions effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
