Qualifications: - Master's of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program required. - Require: current Massachusetts Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or must obtain MA Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) within 4 months of hire date. - Relevant clinical experience preferred. - LICSW preferred. Clinical Social Work, LCSW OR LICSW Inpatient Float Position: MGH Medical - Surgical / Psych Inpatient - Adult Full-Time/ 40 Hours/ Day Shift Ask about sign-on bonus, based upon eligibility (non-MGB) The MGH Department of Clinical Social Work is seeking a social worker (MSW) to provide clinical social work services on a variety of adult inpatient medical, surgical and psychiatric units. - The position requires working Monday through Friday covering various hospital units when other social workers are not available or on leave. The successful candidate will have an interest in the acute care setting working with patients and families experiencing a wide variety of medical/surgical and psychosocial challenges. - Experience with the acute care hospital setting, crisis intervention, loss and bereavement, substance use disorder, trauma, abuse and neglect (elder, disabled, and child) is necessary. - Candidates need to have excellent clinical, collaborative and consultation skills and the desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - Having professional flexibility is a key attribute since clinical assignments will change regularly.
