PRN Status- Wake Forest Emergency Providers Urgent Care Facilities As anEmergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider, you will work alongside EM Physicians, other EM APPs, and EM nurses and staff to take care ofpatients and save lives. Though APPs in this role will collaborate with and share all patients with physicians, autonomy is both encouraged and fostered. Our EM APPs will learn to manage acute and chronic conditions with increasing independent expertise and are encouraged to practice at the top of their license. Although the focus of this role is primarily clinical, there will be Career Development opportunities with access to get involved in Education, Administration and Leadership. Location: The beautiful Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina has a moderate climate with all four seasons and a cost of living well below the national average. The Blue Ridge Mountains and Parkway are a 1-2 hour drive to the north and west, and North Carolina's beaches are close enough to enjoy during long weekends. The region is on an upward trajectory that still maintains its Southern roots and small town feel. Although the region is traditionally Southern in its friendliness, it has an international vibe with an array of festivals and a wide variety of restaurants and entertainment options. Click here to learn more about working as an APP at: Wake Forest Emergency Providers Requirements: Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program Licensed, or eligible, for North Carolina as an NP or PA. Nurse practitioners must be ENP certified or eligible to sit for ENP boards within 6 months. BLS and ACLS Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross. ATLS Certification required within a reasonable timeframe after starting employment.
