We are currently seeking a
Plant Manager
to join our dynamic team and oversee operations at one of our most profitable manufacturing facilities. A national leader in the livestock feed manufacturing industry, proudly serving farmers and ranchers across the Midwest. As the
Plant Manager , you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the plant, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality livestock feed products. This role requires a strong leader who is well-versed in production, scheduling, maintenance, and quality control. You will manage a team of 20 employees across multiple shifts and will play a key role in driving continuous improvement and maintaining a safe, productive, and quality-driven environment. Key Responsibilities :
Oversee all plant operations, including production, maintenance, and quality control, to ensure high levels of efficiency, safety, and product quality Manage and mentor a team of 20 employees, ensuring effective scheduling, performance management, and training Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand while minimizing downtime Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, reduce costs, and optimize overall plant performance Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements Maintain equipment and facility in top condition through preventative maintenance and repair programs Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as necessary to meet production and quality goals Handle any production-related issues and work to resolve problems promptly to minimize disruption
Qualifications :
Proven experience in plant or operations management, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage teams, foster a positive work culture, and drive performance In-depth knowledge of production processes, scheduling, maintenance, and quality control Familiarity with safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work effectively across multiple shifts and lead teams in a fast-paced environment A degree in Agriculture, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required
