The Staff Accountant maintains the General Ledger and ensures that the financial system is accurate, efficient, and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and applicable government regulation. Also performs various and special projects for the organization.

Work Location:
In-office position Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5pm; no work from home at this time. Compensation:
Base salary $55-70K, full benefits package including 23 days PTO Job Description
Performs month-end general ledger closing in conjunction with Sr. Accountant. Coordinates with supervisors to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data and the General Ledger. Posts General Ledger entries, including cash receipts, cash Disbursements, Accruals, Payroll, Tax Deposits, Transfers, Depreciation, etc. Prepares monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations Reconciles the General Ledger with the A/R Subsidiary Ledger and A/P Subsidiary Ledger. Prepares monthly statistics, including the scoreboard reports. Maintains designated fund accounts and prepares monthly reports. Creates reports, statistics, analysis, etc., as needed by the Finance Department as well as other departments. Distributes monthly department reports. Reconciles Fixed Assets and posts depreciation, and prepaid expense and posts amortization. Performs month-end reconciliation of pledges receivable. Prepares PIP Reconciliation and reporting. Charitable Solicitation. 1099's. Organization for Health Care Reports. Occupational License. Property Tax. State Annual Report. Education/Experience:
Any combination of education and experience that would provide required skills and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited university/college and two (2) years experience in the accounting field. Extensive computer experience with spreadsheets (Excel). Knowledge of:
Generally Accepted Accounting Principles; practices of accounting.
