We are seeking a proficient Accounting Specialist to join our team based in Tampa, Florida. The Accounting Specialist will play a pivotal role in maintaining and managing our financial records, including sales, receipts, payments, and purchases. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance
• Ensure compliance with organizational accounting standards and regulations
• Conduct detailed, monthly account reconciliations
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable and receivable sub-ledgers and monthly account reconciliations
• Utilize accounting software systems for the management of financial records
• Perform monthly close processes
• Manage the general ledger and post all journal entries
• Address and respond to vendor inquiries
• Regularly complete internal audits of transactions and balances
• Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services
• Experience with Ceridian
• Knowledge in using Concur
• Skilled in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions
• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in Auditing
• Familiarity with Billing Functions
• Proficiency in General Ledger management
• Ability to handle Month End Close
• Experience in preparing Journal Entries
