Job Description:
The Manufacturing Associate plays a vital role in the production of therapeutic proteins (API) under cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) conditions. This position requires adherence to detailed processes and procedures, ensuring product quality and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to work in a cleanroom environment during night shifts.
Hours: 12 hour shifts - nights 7PM-7AM
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Execution:Perform manufacturing processes following written SOPs, including pH and conductivity measurements, equipment monitoring, and sampling.
Set up, operate, and monitor production equipment, including CIP (Clean-in-Place) and SIP (Steam-in-Place) operations.
Document production activities in compliance with GMP and GDP (Good Documentation Practices) standards. - Facility & Equipment Maintenance:Conduct routine cleaning and sanitization of equipment and facilities to maintain compliance with quality standards.
Support 6S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety) programs to maintain an organized and efficient work environment. - Material Handling:Transfer raw materials and chemicals into, out of, and across production areas, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
- Training & Documentation:Maintain and update individual training plans, ensuring qualification for assigned tasks.
Participate in administrative tasks, including shift exchanges, meetings, emails, and project assignments. - Aseptic Practices:Demonstrate aseptic technique while handling materials and products in a cleanroom environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Educational Background:Scientific degree or coursework in biology, chemistry, or related fields preferred.
- Preferred Experience:Previous roles in manufacturing, food service, pharmacy tech, robotics, EMT, or technical support.
Familiarity with SOPs, guidelines, and industry regulations. - Key Competencies: Strong mechanical aptitude and computer skills to navigate increasingly automated systems.
Ability to follow detailed processes and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Adaptability to work in a cleanroom environment, including gowning requirements.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
