Job Overview:
A law firm in Manchester, NH, is seeking an experienced Employment Law Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law, proficiency in general litigation, and a focus on employee handbooks, policies, wage and hours compliance, and employer hiring guidance. Experience in conducting on-site employee training on harassment prevention is highly valued. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment with multiple clients and requires a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. Duties: Provide legal advice and representation to clients on various employment law matters. Draft and review employee handbooks, policies, and employment-related agreements. Conduct legal research and analysis on employment law issues. Represent clients in employment litigation and administrative proceedings. Advise clients on wage and hour compliance and employment best practices. Develop and conduct on-site training programs for clients on harassment prevention and other employment law topics. Requirements: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the state bar in New Hampshire (or willingness to become admitted). 4+ years of relevant experience practicing employment law, with some background in general litigation. Proven experience in drafting employee handbooks, policies, and employment agreements. Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities in a dynamic legal practice. Certifications (Preferred): Certification in Employment Law (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or similar). Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Attention to detail and accuracy in legal work. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
