Position Summary This position contributes to the design and delivery of research projects and collaborates with researchers to develop, execute and interpret research projects. Performs complex data collection and study methods. This position will be funded by the HRSA State Maternal Health Innovation Program and will be responsible for project management and coordination. Duties & Responsibilities Coordinate and support maternal health project goals and tasks as outlined in the project plan by actively assuming responsibility for components necessary for timely completion. Collaborate with the project team, sponsor, and stakeholders to conduct activities that improve maternal health in Illinois. Independently develop, manage, synthesize and report on key data to support progress reporting. Develop and implement procedures, maintain records, track progress, and conduct quality assurance and program evaluation activities. Create interview guides, recruit participants, and conduct key informant interviews and/or focus groups. Document and organize qualitative data collection. Create survey tools and oversee survey data collection among research participants. Research and operationalize recommendations to improve maternal health. Collaborate with state agencies. Manage maternal health projects and activities for the Illinois Maternal Health Innovation Program. Provide correspondence with the funding agency including the submission of progress reports and updates on project reporting. Manage scheduling and prepare meeting agendas, notes and other project communications. Lead and manage the planning and creation of the maternal health data repository. Serves as first line of customer service for project communication. Organize and lead internal team meetings as assigned. Assist with project progress reports. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in social science or related field required. Master's degree in social science preferred. A minimum of 3 years related research experience. Possesses and applies advanced knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited school or university in social work, public health, or behavioral science or related health specialty. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively and autonomously in a self-directed role. Program evaluation training and experience. Highly collaborative with strong interpersonal, customer service, and team building skills. Ability to prioritize multiple work assignments and manage time efficiently. Knowledge and experience in maternal health.
