Congregational Care Pastor
position.
The Pastor of Congregational Care will be a certified CCEF Biblical Counselor. He will give vision and direction to the overarching Care & Counseling Ministry of the church so that it supports the Purpose, Values, and Mission of seeing people Love God, Love One Another, Love our Neighbors, and Love the Nations. He gives oversight to the Congregational Care Team as they carry out these values through the lens of holistic Biblical care.
Primary responsibilities are to:
Provide vision and direction for overall ministry alignment;
Coach and develop our Congregational Care Team through discipleship, ministry mentorship, leadership and/or professional development;
Oversee a unified approach to Congregational Care for the church;
Actively do the work of biblical pastoral counseling;
Develop, give leadership, and provide ongoing training for a Lay Care & Counseling Team, and provide care and counseling training for the staff Shepherding Team;
Oversee the pre-marriage ministry.

Requirements:
Four years ministry experience in a church
Master’s degree in Biblical Counseling
Completion of an approved Ordination Certificate
Possesses and lives out the values of disciple-making, shepherding, having a multi-ethnic lens, being multi-generationally focused, being a leader developer, and collaboration.
Demonstrates the spiritual gifts of leadership, shepherding, preaching, and teaching.
Proven skills and gifting in innovation; recruiting, training, and developing volunteer leaders; supervision, leadership and/or administration of staff and lay leader teams; Strong interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills, and engaging speaking skills; Proven organizational skills.
Alignment with and commitment to assisting the ministries of the church in fulfilling our mission, vision, and values.
Acceptance and agreement with WBC Statement of Doctrine and Faith and WBC Statement of Christian Lifestyle.
