Job Description The Director, HR Commercial Functions will provide strategic HR leadership and be responsible for managing global human resources activities for our Sales, TCS, Marketing, and Business Management functions. This individual will partner with senior leaders to provide consultative HR support and counsel, align business needs to drive the human capital strategy, and determine how to best use their talent-base to innovate and support business objectives. The HR Director will be a key member of the Human Resources team and be an authentic business leader with a central role in continuing to build and shape the organizational strategy and design, including strategic transformation and restructuring. This position will also lead and execute critical HR processes for talent management, development, and succession planning. This position will be located in Columbia, MD. Responsibilities Partner with senior leaders to develop organizational strategies to include change management, and ensure organizational capability to match business strategy, anticipating and preparing for future business needs. Ensure internal client groups have the resource capability and bench strength to achieve Grace’s goals and growth strategies. Provide leadership, guidance, and counsel to leaders, with special emphasis on matters related to talent, organizational change, and human capital. Provide leadership to the client leadership teams to ensure understanding and execution of strategic plans and HR strategies, partnering with other HRBPs to ensure alignment across Grace, and the development of talent. Execute on day-to-day HR processes and initiatives, including but not limited to Talent Acquisition, Organization Design, Talent Reviews, Performance Reviews, merit and bonus processes, M&A activities, and other relevant initiatives, utilizing the HR Business Services team as appropriate. Develop an HR plan aligned with Grace’s objectives to include organizational design, succession planning, talent management, goal alignment, and communications. Collaborate across the organization to ensure commitment to the organization’s mission, values, and long-range strategy, as well as the successful execution of talent management initiatives. Lead culture change and organizational effectiveness initiatives. Engage in long-range scenario planning with consideration for the impact of various talent risks. Continuously evaluate existing talent and organizational structures to maximize efficiency and meet the needs of the business, influencing the business leaders to drive change. Coordinate and partner with other HR groups including Rewards and HR Operations, Talent Management, Total Rewards, and global HR Business partners. Partnering with regional HR teams, ensure human resources policies, procedures, and practices are implemented successfully at all levels. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field with a minimum of 15 years’ experience as an HR Business Partner leader. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successfully on strategic initiatives as well as tactical tasks that drive high performance in a multi-generational, globally diverse employee population where flexibility and adaptability are crucial. Demonstrated organizational design experience including major transformation, restructuring, and change management skills and experience. Strong professional maturity and judgment and accustomed to dealing with confidential situations. Ability to generate alternative solutions from diverse opinions. Strong customer and results orientation. Progressive HR experience. Global experience and awareness. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects from conception to completion in a fast-paced, global, team environment. Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders, driving business and functional results. Ability to work with all levels in an organization and work across teams, departments, businesses, and cultures; keenly attuned to issues of diversity and inclusion as it pertains to a global, multi-generational workforce. Strong cross-functional business understanding with a P&L orientation. Demonstrated ability to achieve KPIs through an inclusive, collaborative leadership style. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate a clear and compelling vision and develop effective working relationships with people from diverse demographic and cultural backgrounds.
