About the Role The Vice President of Investor Relations will serve as a strategic leader responsible for managing all aspects of investor relations to enhance the company’s valuation and reputation among the investment community. The ideal candidate will have deep experience as an equity analyst on both the buy-side and sell-side, leveraging a comprehensive understanding of financial markets, institutional investment strategies, and industry dynamics to foster strong relationships with investors, analysts, and other key stakeholders.

WHAT YOU’LL DO In partnership with Senior Executives, develop a robust Investor Relations program and strategy, leveraging IR best practices to maximize stock liquidity

Continuously assess investor perception to inform strategies and coordinate an investment community schedule of various Investor events, conferences and meetings to maximize confidence in the stock

Implement positioning strategies for analyst discussions in preparation for and in reaction to earnings releases, investor events and annual reports

Evolve Kohl's policy on forward-looking statements to include earnings guidance in partnership with legal and media relations

Develop key investment messages regarding financial performance, business conditions, strategies and growth fundamentals

Build strong partnerships with Senior Executives, legal and public relations

Advise and train internal partners on financial communications to the investment community; communicate the investment community’s view of Kohl’s strategy and financial outlook to Senior Executives

Preparing earnings guidance with CFO

Write quarterly Earnings Releases, Letters to Shareholders, Annual Reports and quarterly conference call scripts

Thoroughly prepare the CEO and the CFO for questions and answers before investor meetings

Meet with key management team well in advance to understand quarterly business drivers in preparation for drafting materials

Develop investor presentations for road shows, conferences and investor meetings

Manage capital markets and media expectations regarding earnings announcements, leadership changes, acquisitions and other critical business events

Provide guidance in managing the sell-side community

Monitor and assess changes and trends in the ownership of the stock and track and report on market conditions, opinions, attitudes and reactions to Kohl’s and the retail sector

Conduct investor perception studies focusing on Kohl's strategy, capital allocation and structure, management and IR communications strengths and weaknesses, as well as investor investment theses to determine if or when an investor day may be appropriate

Establish and maintain Kohl's disclosure policy and monitor disclosures of competitors to ensure fair relative valuations

Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines to mitigate Kohl's financial risk

Collaborate with internal and external partners to provide relevant analytics on market share

Develop ongoing rigorous, analytical processes to continually monitor analyst models and reports

Develop a strong quantitative analysis of our investor base to continually analyze changes in our shareholder base, as well as in our competitors

QUALIFICATIONS Required 10+ years of experience in equity research, investor relations, or corporate finance, with a proven track record in both buy-side and sell-side roles.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Ability to build trust and credibility with investors, analysts, and executive leadership

Proven track record of success in building trust and respect with C-suite and Senior Executives

Excellent knowledge of financial and capital markets

Well-versed in sophisticated financial modeling

Expert knowledge of SEC regulations and Investor Relations practices

Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and projects, making complex, highly sensitive and expeditious decisions

Knowledgeable in all aspects of business, especially in demands of the capital markets, relevant SEC and accounting regulations and how they affect a publicly traded corporation

Superior communication, analytical and strategic thinking skills
