Avangrid Renewables is seeking a Contract Administration to report to the Contracts Director, supporting Contract Managers with contracting documentation and administration for the tendering, negotiation, and execution of a wide range of offshore wind development contracts for the New England Wind project. The individual will assist Contract Managers in the management of contractual and commercial risks and seek out opportunities to optimize and drive the performance of various supplier contracts. The role requires an ability to work in a fast-paced working environment that can adapt to the dynamic needs of the US Offshore Contracts Team.
This role will include working closely with the US Offshore Contracts Team and staff from the Legal, Financial, Procurement, and Insurance teams to ensure contracts are developed and managed effectively.
The successful candidate will support a variety of activities within offshore wind development, including environmental surveys, research, permitting, community outreach, stakeholder engagement, and engineering support.
Job Duties
Support Contract Managers for tendering and negotiation of offshore wind development contracts for the New England Wind project with the US Offshore Wind Development Team and Procurement team, as appropriate;
Track effective and expiration dates for all contracts to prevent any delay in services.
Provide contractual administration support in meetings with the US Offshore Wind Team, members of the Legal, Financial, Procurement, and Insurance teams, and Contractors to ensure all parties are aware and informed about contract content and documentation.
Support Contract Managers regarding risk management and manage expectations of service, including work products, timing, and tracking deliverables which will include major milestone dates and KPIs, as applicable.
Ensure that relevant guidelines, processes, and procedures are included in final contracts so that Contractors adhere to them after execution.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline – Engineering, Contract Management, Legal background, Project Management, Construction Management, or commercially oriented qualification.
IT literate, with the ability to operate Microsoft Office systems and other IT-based project management software. Knowledge and previous experience of SAP is advantageous.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on results.
Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.
Able to adapt and work in a fast-paced working environment and responsive to change.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sustainability reporting tools and databases.
