The
Director of Compliance and Risk Management
provides strategic oversight and leadership to ensure TVHC’s adherence to federal and state regulations, HRSA standards, and internal policies. This role is integral to fostering a culture of compliance, safety, and accountability while driving continuous improvement across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Manage risk assessment and mitigation strategies. Develop compliance frameworks and oversee policy implementation. Conduct audits to address organizational vulnerabilities. Collaborate across teams to deliver actionable insights and manage investigations. Provide training to build a workforce aligned with compliance standards and best practices. Work closely with executive leadership, Quality and Clinical teams, and Human Resources. About TVHC:

$114,520.00 - $157,618 annualized, depending on experience. Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations of the Compliance and Risk Management Department. Develop, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of TVHC’s Compliance and Risk Management Plans. Review and evaluate contracts for legal compliance. Streamline the credentialing process in collaboration with HR. Act as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team and Board of Directors. Conduct compliance, risk, and safety audits. Maintain up-to-date expertise on federal and state regulations. Spearhead initiatives to promote a culture of safety. Collaborate with IT to optimize cybersecurity measures. Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of compliance and risk management platforms. Oversee the incident reporting system. Coordinate with legal counsel and malpractice vendors. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of investigations. Establish, implement, and maintain policies and procedures. Provide guidance and training to staff on policy adoption. Design and deliver training programs on regulatory standards. Prepare and present reports to the Executive Team and Board of Directors. Partner with cross-functional teams to address compliance and risk concerns. Act as the organization’s HIPAA Privacy Officer. Perform organizational assessments for compliance and risk management tools. Additional duties as assigned by leadership. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in public health, healthcare administration, nursing, legal studies, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree or legal degree is highly preferred. Certification as a Professional in Health Care Risk Management (CPHRM) is a plus. A minimum of five years of progressive experience in compliance, risk management, or legal operations within a healthcare setting. Extensive knowledge of standards, relevant legislation, and regulations for FQHCs. Clinical background is preferred. Qualifications: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to travel to designated locations as required. Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. High adaptability to manage shifting priorities. Proactive problem-solving skills. Demonstrated expertise in planning and executing compliance initiatives.
