Essential Functions
Execute procedures regarding the supply chain and provide training to appropriate personnel for efficient operations of the overall system. Oversee contractual agreements pertaining to the procurement of materials, equipment or services that support the business efforts of Kinross Kettle River Operations and ensure compliance with Kinross Supply Chain Policy. Implement and evaluate the site sourcing, contracting, and purchasing plan in coordination with departments. Assist with the development of documentation required to support policy compliance and effective contract life-cycle management maintaining confidentiality of all Kinross and Supplier information. Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors and contractors. Oversee the logistics and transportation of supplies and equipment to and from the site. Develop and manage procedures utilizing on-site systems to ensure appropriate stock levels at all sites. Resolve any issues related to supply chain performance, including delivery delays, quality concerns, and discrepancies. Complete the analysis of spend and cost modeling for goods and services to identify service, quality, and cost savings opportunities. General and administrative duties are as follows:
Participate in budget and forecast planning procedures. Maintain accurate records and files. Make recommendations regarding the selection and hiring of personnel as needed and provide development opportunities for all department employees. Responsible for conducting performance evaluations, recommending promotions and carrying out corrective actions as needed. Work with corporate Supply Chain to help drive or support global initiatives. Collaborate with other departments to achieve department and site goals. Punctuality and regular attendance is required. Perform other duties as required.

Bachelor’s degree in business management, a related field, or equivalent experience. 8 years of relevant training and experience, including supply chain, procurement, contract management, warehousing and logistics, as well as personnel management. Project field experience and technical knowledge of mining is preferred. Experience working in a complex supply chain organization with an advanced understanding of procurement and logistics procedures. Ability to work independently and as a member of the management team. Adept at motivating and obtaining results, leading by example with a participatory management style. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, including the ability to interface with senior management, line management, and outside vendors with equal ease. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to exercise sound business judgment with a bottom-line results orientation is necessary. Must possess professional ethics, tact, and courtesy when dealing with vendors and customers. Must be forward thinking with the ability to make appropriate day-to-day decisions for the long-term benefit of the company. Excellent technical skills including a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite. JD Edwards and SAP Arriba experience preferred. Ability to work effectively under time constraints and within a rapidly changing environment. Ability to function within the qualifications outlined in the attached physical demands sheets. General understanding of mining, milling and maintenance operations. Ability to work both independently and as a member of the management team. Position is based in Republic, Washington, but includes travel to other site locations and for stakeholder interactions. Field work required in remote areas and through all seasons.
