Emergency Department Nurse Manager This premier health organization in Geneva, New York, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Department Nurse Manager to oversee two dynamic departments. The successful candidate will be instrumental in implementing strategies that promote uncompromising quality, exceptional patient safety, and an excellent patient and family experience. $115,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee the operational management of two emergency departments. Implement strategies to achieve outstanding quality and patient safety. Ensure an exceptional patient and family experience through effective service delivery. Foster staff development, empowerment, and establish collegial relationships within the team. Allocate resources efficiently to promote effective, compassionate, and fiscally responsible care. Coordinate care across department lines to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and communication. Participate in the recruitment, selection, orientation, and retention of personnel. Ensure continuous professional development for staff and maintain oversight of clinical leaders and programs. Minimum Position Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited Registered Professional Nurse Program. Masters in Nursing or related field. Current NYS license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse. BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications through RQI required during clinical orientation. Basic Coronary Care within 6 months and CPI certification within 90 days of hire. Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required within 18 months of hire. Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as an RN with at least 18 months in an Emergency Department. Preferred Qualifications: Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) within one year of hire. At least 1 year of management or leadership experience in a healthcare setting. Skills: Moderate sedation competency within six months of hire. Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with staff, patients, and healthcare team members. Proficient in management systems and operational processes. Ability to establish effective work relationships and lead team towards achieving organizational objectives. Strong analytical skills for needs assessment and intervention planning. Proficient in project management and capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines. Familiarity with The Joint Commission requirements and computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets.
