Posting Number: S-3458 Position Number: 77020 Type of Recruitment: External Position Title: DIRECTOR / MEDICAL EDUCATION OFFICE Position Summary

This position oversees the office of medical education within the College of Medicine under the direct supervision of the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. This position is responsible for the administration/oversight of the curriculum management system and curricular support activities. This highly collaborative position will work as part of a team of staff, faculty, and administrators in developing, leading, and maintaining the medical education program at the CMU College of Medicine. Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in educational psychology, instructional design, adult learning, or a combination of education and related experience that equates to six years. Five years of progressively responsible experience. Three years of supervisory experience, including developing and delivering cross-functional training. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. Proficient in the use of Excel to create and manage a variety of academic and curricular databases. Strong organizational skills and the ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks, and complete assignments with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to accomplish administrative assignments and projects independently, to work well as part of a team, and to exercise judgment in setting priorities. Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications

PhD or EdD. Experience drafting and implementing policy and internal operating procedures. Familiarity with project management processes. Experience in a medical school setting. Knowledge of LCME accreditation. Experience with teaching healthcare education and strong supervisory skills are desired. Duties & Responsibilities

Supervises the implementation of appropriate student progress policies as directed by the Senior Associate Dean of Academic Affairs. Creates standard operating procedures based on internal policies to implement across campuses. Assists in developing and implementing appropriate policies and procedures for ensuring the accurate, secure, and confidential documentation of student performance data across campuses. Collaborates with student clerkship coordinators across all campuses to ensure seamless integration and execution of curriculum-related activities. Maintains databases for overall outcomes of the courses, clerkships, and programs for the College of Medicine. Oversees the implementation and management of curricular changes, ensuring alignment with Central Michigan University’s governance process and academic standards. Performs other duties as assigned. Pay Range: $80,000 - $98,000 per year Location
