The Strategic Finance team is responsible for enterprise level planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and capital allocation. This is a highly strategic & visible team that partners closely with our C-Suite and cross-functional business leaders to develop key Strategic Finance Team possess excellent analytical, critical reasoning, interpersonal, communication, influencing and leadership skills and are passionate about both problem solving as well as building high quality repeatable processes that scale with our rapid growth. Our role extends beyond analyzing and reporting; we take pride in helping to design and implement solutions to the different challenges that can arise in our high growth environment. About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Corporate Strategic Finance to join our leadership team at Gorgias. This role is crucial in guiding our financial strategy and enhancing our financial planning and analysis (FP&A) capabilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a high-growth tech startup environment, demonstrating a proven ability to lead FP&A functions and drive strategic financial initiatives. This position reports directly to the CFO and will work closely with executive leadership to inform decision-making and strategic planning. Executive Reporting and Analysis : Develop comprehensive documentation and narratives for executive-level and Board of Directors financial presentations, standard monthly and quarterly close reports, and detailed annual budgeting documents, ensuring clarity and strategic insights for key stakeholders.

Leadership in Financial Planning : Spearhead the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range strategic planning processes, ensuring alignment with Gorgias’ overall business objectives.

Executive Business Partnering:

This role will be the lead partner to all of our G&A and R&D executive teams, helping to partner with them to drive better business decisions and visibility on financial outcomes.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams : Partner closely with the Accounting, Data & Analytics, and Legal teams to enhance the quality and effectiveness of management reporting, operational performance tracking, and financial metrics analysis.

Tool Optimization and Reporting Enhancements:

Drive continuous improvement in FP&A reporting and planning tools, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the organization and enhance decision-making capabilities.

Forecasting and Model Maintenance : Oversee the development and maintenance of overall P&L financial forecast models, budget models, and databases. Ensure rigorous analysis and accuracy in financial projections on a project-by-project basis.

Comprehensive Financial Reporting : Generate detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on financial performance, including budget variance analysis, scenario analysis, stress testing, and KPI results. Effectively communicate findings to executive leadership, board members, and other key stakeholders.

Strategic Project Support : Collaborate with the CFO, other C-suite executives, and the Corporate Development team on high-impact projects, including large-scale capital markets initiatives and fundraising strategies. Provide financial insights and analysis to support critical business decisions.

Mentorship and Leadership : Help grow and develop a dedicated team of Strategic Finance professionals.

Who You Are

8+ years of progressive experience in Finance, Investment Banking or PE with prior experience in a corporate FP&A function. High growth SaaS experience preferred.

Demonstrated success in building and leading high performance finance teams.

Strong executive presence and interpersonal skills with proficiency in distilling complex business information into consumable and actionable takeaways.

Expert in financial modeling with strong working knowledge of GAAP. Extensive experience architecting integrated models from scratch, in Excel or in other planning applications.

Systems thinker. Experience in designing and implementing new systems and tools.

Demonstrated project management skills with experience improving and streamlining processes, and developing solutions to operational inefficiencies.

Intellectually curious with problem solving orientation. Strong analytical capabilities and business acumen with ability to apply rigorous logic and sound methods to solve multi-faceted problems. Not satisfied with easy or convenient answers.

Willingness to play “up and down the stack” diving into the details as well as managing exec level communications.
