Job Description
AppleCare Service is looking for a highly analytical, motivated, self-driven individual with a strong planning background in a high-mix-high-volume environment. You will own the supply, planning, and overall performance of one or more product lines for AppleCare. You will act as a focal point in communication and will execute product demand and supply plans to meet AppleCare’s overall goals. Responsibilities
Responsible for AppleCare Supply planning for WW and AMR region for one or more products or commodities. Coordinate weekly conference calls with Europe and Asia-Pacific teams to sync on supply-demand matching regionally and globally. Publish weekly factory forecast, ensure deltas and gaps are clearly communicated and bridged. Run What if Simulations to optimize material/capacity constraints while minimizing impact to customer happiness. Work closely with cross-functional teams such as finished goods planning and factory operations teams to ensure sufficient capacities and materials to meet supply requirements. Optimize planning process, implement weekly new buy and repair plans to minimize future gaps and improve inventory turns, maintain planning system master data and initiate Engineering Change request based on material life cycle. Responsible for key performance metrics such as backlog, fill rate, inventory turn, and vendor forecast accuracy. Analyze forecasted demand, inventory, develop weekly supply plans that meet customer demands. Results should meet AppleCare’s target of fill rate, while minimizing total inventory cost. Analyze and resolve product backlogs, fill rates every day. Identify problem areas, and drive appropriate functional groups to correct. Build allocation plans for constraint products, dealing effectively with both internal customer & supplier queries and working closely in collaboration with planning, forecasting, logistics, and warehousing. Oversee key cross-functional projects, communicate project timelines and impacts to the team, be the liaison between supply planning team, other cross-functional teams, and IT project managers. Minimum Qualifications
More than 3 years of experience in supply/demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, or supply chain management and knowledge of ERP planning solution is crucial. The candidate must combine a solid understanding of world-class supply chain practices, strong analytical capabilities, strong leadership skills, and business savvy. Effective in communication, influencing, and negotiation in a matrix organization including one-on-one, small and large groups, and with peers and executives. Ability to both think strategically and execute tactically, a persistent attention to detail, and a high level of comfort in working with numbers. Experience in dealing with cross-functional collaboration to achieve outstanding customer service in a complex and fast-paced environment. Consistent track record in delivering on operational KPI’s while leading projects and initiatives. Sense of priority and urgency to meet deadlines from different partners. High proficiency in Excel and have ability to learn technical applications quickly. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Reporting tools such as Business Objects, Tableau or similar is a plus. Additional Requirements
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $111,400 and $209,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
