Job ID: 2848218 | Amazon.com Services LLC Amazon is seeking an experienced Program Manager to join the Direct Tax Compliance and Reporting team. The Amazon tax department is a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment.

The Program Manager will manage projects that touch various teams and transform tax processes. The candidate will assist with project management of several projects focused on simplifying, standardizing, integrating, and automating processes owned by the US & Foreign Reporting and Compliance team, the US Outbound team, the Tax Provision team, and the Finance/Accounting/FP&A teams. The Program Manager must have broad project management experience in order to facilitate discussions and help the teams develop plans, organize action items, follow up, develop metrics and reporting mechanisms.

The Program Manager needs a business background and some experience working across different groups and multiple stakeholders. This role will operate with independence and be expected to demonstrate an ability to provide ideas, collaborate and manage multiple projects at the same time. The work will be both tactical and strategic in nature and the role must be able to create clarity from ambiguous situations.

Key job responsibilities

Own programs and wing to wing operational efforts. This includes unblocking teams, escalating when appropriate and ensuring all stakeholders are up to date on status. Develop methodologies and tools to manage multiple projects and provide metrics, reports and status updates to stakeholders. Manage project plans, action items, follow ups and completion of tasks for multiple projects. Collaborate with various members of the tax team to help develop project plans, tasks and overall project deliverables. Propose ideas on how to streamline the project planning efforts, automate processes and reporting. Participate in the documentation of processes focusing on identifying requirements, mitigating risk, finding opportunities to streamline and ensuring completeness. Prepare the documentation of project status and preparation of materials to facilitate presentations to leadership.

We serve our customers by deeply understanding their problems and unique needs, leading efforts to develop ideas, and recommending the optimal solutions that simplify, standardize, and transform tax processes. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of program or project management experience Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field 2+ years of communicating with and presenting to executive and senior audiences experience Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market.
