Location: Richland, Washington Title: System Analyst III Schedule (FT/PT): Regular Full Time Travel Required: No Clearance: Ability to Obtain North Wind Solutions is a Government contracting small business with operations at military and civilian installations across the United States. The company’s focus is facilities operation and maintenance, waste management and radiological services, security control and force protection, and environmental services. POSITION PURPOSE: In support of the Northwind IT Infrastructure organization, this position will be part of a team responsible for Vulnerability Remediation for systems across the Hanford Local Area Network (HLAN), to include Laptops and Desktops. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct End User/Customer communications for those workstations that need attention to remediate patches not applied during normal patching cycles. Working from vulnerability spreadsheet targeting specific vulnerabilities based on property number and severity level. Creating schedules to work with the End User/Customer to gain remote access to workstations to assist in the remediation of identified vulnerabilities. Provide daily spreadsheet status to Vulnerability Management team of remediation effort. Familiarization with Department of Homeland Security Binding Operational Directives 22-01 (DHS BOD 22-10). Familiar with the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and their mission. Familiar with Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) and how they are determined. Review reports on CISA released CVE’s and other vulnerabilities for vulnerability remediation efforts. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: BA/BS degree in Information Management or related technical degree or equivalent work experience. A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in performing patch/remediation management in an enterprise environment. Skills and Abilities: Education in Cyber Security field with experience in Vulnerability Remediation Management. Familiarization with Department of Homeland Security Binding Operational Directives 22-01 (DHS BOD 22-01). Familiar with the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and their processes and requirements. Familiar with Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) and how they are determined and tracked. Experience with problem-solving efforts to remediate vulnerabilities. Knowledge of Cyber Security scanning applications and their capabilities. Knowledgeable of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), such as Splunk Enterprise Security, or similar. Familiar with Vulnerability Management, such as Tenable Security Center, Flexera Software Vulnerability Manager or similar. Attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and quickly learn new tasks. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. The ability to use remote console tools as necessary. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: MUST BE A US CITIZEN with the ability to acquire and maintain a US Government security clearance. The ability to obtain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) badge, in order to meet cyber security requirements to have an elevated administrative account. Ability to work in a multi-task, multi-project environment. Ability to flex schedule and work to accomplish daily and weekly tasks. Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to work in a team-oriented collaborative environment. Highly self-motivated and self-directed. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: CompTIA Security+ Certification. EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker. Certified Information System Auditor (CISA). Knowledge of Hanford Site policies, procedures, and processes. Knowledge and understanding of the Hanford Software Quality Assurance (SQA) requirements and process, Production Readiness Review Board (PRRB) process, and System Engineering Control Board (SECB) process. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be sitting for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 10 lbs.
