Payments and Credit Card Strategy VP
About This Position
As a Payments and Credit Card Strategy VP, you will support the development of strategic projects and initiatives with a focus on driving commercial value for JPMorgan Chase. This position sits within the Credit Card Networks and Advocacy Team, a group within JPMorgan Chase's Credit Card organization. This team works closely with the Corporate Strategy, Corporate Development, Legal, Product and Card business teams to drive value from the bank's payment network relationships.
Job responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of strategic initiatives/projects to resolve diverse problems identified by senior leaders.
Lead and support initiatives focusing on diverse problems for JPMorgan Chase's relationship with payment network partners.
Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner for senior leaders across JPMC, collaborating with functional and business teams throughout the bank.
Guide strategic thinking and problem-solving approaches for project teams.
Develop and deliver executive-level strategy narratives, deliverables, and analyses.
Collaborate effectively with CCB's strategy, finance, corporate development, legal, & communications teams to support Chase's network initiatives.
Simultaneously work on a handful of projects that can vary in length from 6 weeks to 6 months.
Manage external partner relationships with key network partners.
This is a great opportunity for a candidate with former management consulting or strategy experience looking to dive deeper into the payments and credit card industries while at the same time working in a great environment and with a healthy work-life balance. Team and role located in Manhattan with minimal/no travel.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
3-7 years of experience in management consulting or credit card/payments strategy.
Genuine interest in credit card and payment systems, including the regulations impacting issuers, networks, and acquirers.
Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills - the ability to convey complex information simply and clearly to senior business leaders.
Interpersonal leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to interact with senior business executives.
Exceptional PowerPoint and Excel Skills, including storytelling in PowerPoint.
Financial modelling experience, including scenario assessment.
Highly adaptable with an ability to multi-task, prioritize and escalate appropriately in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to coach and develop junior talent while providing oversight and guidance to high-priority projects.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
Interest in regulatory changes and contract negotiations.
Work in a fast-paced, dynamic, matrixed environment requiring flexibility and the ability to manage multiple, high priority projects concurrently.
Work independently, drive project deliverables, ability to build relationships across all levels, and influence key stakeholders.
Be results-oriented, intellectually curious with attention to detail and bias towards action.
Be able to interview subject matter experts, compile large amounts of information, and communicate research to senior leadership in multiple formats.
Credit Card and a Consulting background preferred.
