Career AdvancementJob DetailsJob Details:Are you passionate about food safety and quality management? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a solid background in the food manufacturing industry? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced FSQA Manager to join our manufacturing team. This permanent position is a key role within our organization, responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our food safety and quality assurance program.Responsibilities:As an FSQA Manager, you will: Lead, manage and develop the FSQA team, ensuring compliance with all local, state, federal, and international regulations related to food safety and quality. Establish, implement, and maintain the company's food safety and quality management systems. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), and other food safety and quality standards. Develop and implement robust HACCP plans, allergen control programs, and preventative controls. Coordinate and manage third-party audits, including SQF, Kosher, and HALAL certifications. Investigate and resolve any food safety or quality issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary. Work closely with production and operations teams to ensure optimal product quality and safety. Provide technical expertise and training to staff on food safety and quality matters. Continually review and update FSQA policies and procedures to reflect current best practices and regulatory changes.Qualifications:To be considered for this role, you must have: A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of food processing, food microbiology, and food science. Proven experience with PCQI, SQF, Kosher, and HALAL standards. Excellent knowledge of food safety, food quality, and sanitation principles. Proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in the use of quality management systems and related software.
