Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiatives in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Senior IT Security Engineer to work for our company.
Summary:
Client Agency is Defense Logistics Agency Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies). Will support DLA staff in FPCS assessments and provide documentation for favorable cybersecurity assessments and continuous system monitoring. Will act as a cybersecurity SME for FPCS undergoing the authorization process, ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies and RMF guidelines. Will design, develop, and implement cybersecurity measures into systems, delivering documentation to support system authorization and ongoing monitoring activities. Must understand and apply NIST 800-53 security controls to assess and authorize DLA FPCS. Will identify and evaluate the severity of system vulnerabilities and recommend actions to mitigate risks. Will select, implement, and document security controls while collaborating with DLA J6 ISSM on complex systems. Will monitor communications at key internal boundaries and ensure the effectiveness of system-wide common controls. Will design efficient system architectures to support production-ready systems that meet business needs and project timelines. Will provide support for the DoD STIG process, including compliance reviews, assessments, and documentation. Requirements:
Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies). Must have 5+ years of years of experience in Certification and Accreditation (C&A), with specific expertise in RMF, NIST C&A, and DoD cybersecurity. Must have previous experience designing and implementing secure architectures for complex systems. Must be proficient in the STIG compliance process and continuous monitoring activities. Must have a strong understanding of system-wide security control integration and their impact on subsystems. Must be willing and able to work on-site at one of the following DLA locations: Fort Belvoir, VA, Richmond, VA, New Cumberland, PA, Columbus, OH, Tracy CA. Must be willing and able to travel approximately 10% of the time on an as needed basis. Work With Us
