The Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) Products & Platforms team is creating the next generation of scalable and responsible AI, ML, and data innovations and products to solve client and consumer problems. This is a cross-functional team of AI & data scientists, AI/ML engineers, data engineers, product managers, and program managers focused on generating value for the payment's ecosystem. Visa's AI/ML models and products are an essential part of the world's economy, as they play a key role in preventing fraud across the payments ecosystem and generate high value for clients and consumers, all within milliseconds. Our AI/ML solutions generate hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue for Visa and protect billions of dollars of payment transactions. Essential Functions: This position will be a key member of the AIML Platform Product leadership team responsible for the AIaS (AI as a Service) portfolio, powered by the AIML Platform, including both traditional and GenAI. Drive the development of the AIML platform to support value-added services portfolios, aligning with broader organizational strategies and goals. Play an instrumental role in the A2A (Account to Account) portfolio of products by providing thought leadership in overall strategy, design, execution, and launch of model products. This role is accountable for the end-to-end implementation of the AIML stack both on-prem and in a multi-cloud environment, partnering closely with data science, technology, and operations teams. Partner with technology architects on cloud solutions that bring together Visa's products, technologies, software, and ecosystem to provide best-in-class performance, availability, and scalability. Platform Strategy & Roadmap: Identify trends, competitive landscape, market, and client needs to shape the product roadmap and align strategic goals. Build and own the platform roadmap, product positioning, market differentiation, value proposition, and benefits in ways that resonate with key audiences, use cases, and markets. Establish product requirements: Define comprehensive and precise product requirements for key features that meet client and market needs and work in conjunction with other Visa products and solutions. Lead grooming sessions: Drive collaboration and in-depth understanding of product and model requirements with cross-functional product, data science, and technology teams. Define acceptance criteria for requirements, participating and leading AI design and technology discussions. Define and monitor key platform success metrics, SLAs, and operational targets. Lead non-technical and functional elements critical to product success, such as model risk management, model onboarding experience, and oversee the technical development of the platform, ensuring that communicated timelines and quality standards are met. Ideate, prototype, and collaborate with AIML teams in building the business case. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to finalize requirements and establish a clear path to delivery for various use cases. Adapt to changes in the rapidly evolving AI/ML landscape, influencing the development of platform capabilities accordingly. Understand the needs of product partners and data scientists and translate them into an efficient, reliable platform for building, testing, and deploying AI models. Identify significant opportunities for building applications on the AIML Platform, drive use case assessment, and support prioritization in alignment with broader organizational strategies and goals. Lead with vision, identifying new technologies for adoption, and be the lead PM voice for interactions with public cloud providers, such as AWS and GCP, as well as the internal Visa O&I team. Partner closely with technology to execute on AI/ML capabilities and technologies that drive product delivery of high-profile core Visa AI products that form the strategic pillars of Visa. Conceptualize, develop, and launch new products and experiences at the intersection of payments and technology in the AI space. Liaise with other business units, product leaders, engineering, and other applicable groups to ensure flawless execution. Develop and advocate a vision of outstanding customer experience powered by advanced AI technologies. Influence others within and outside of the job sub-function regarding practices, procedures, and policies. Experience building cloud-native architectures, architecting enterprise applications on public cloud platforms, and cloud ecosystems including AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Primary Responsibilities: Requirements Gathering: Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into product requirements. Product Requirements: Develop product requirements based on the product partners' needs. This includes working closely with the engineering team to ensure the product is built to specification and meets the needs of our users. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a cross-functional team of product managers, designers, and engineers. Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and accountability. Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate with stakeholders across the organization, including senior leadership, to keep them informed of the initiative's progress and to gather their input. User Advocacy: Advocate for the needs of our users (data scientists) throughout the product development process. Ensure the final product meets their needs and enhances their ability to build, test, and deploy AI models. Market Analysis: Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, advancements in AI/ML, and emerging technologies. Use this knowledge to keep our product competitive, drive innovation, and new product development. Product Vision and Strategy: Define the product vision and strategy for supporting partners' portfolios and for developing applications for the AIML Platform and define the roadmaps, ensuring they align with the AIML Platform's and company's overall AI/ML strategies. This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 5% of the time. Strong problem solver, with exposure to and knowledge of industry-standard AI and ML technologies with expertise to drive technology-related and architecture discussions. High degree of competence in working independently with limited oversight from the manager on undefined and unique problems and an extreme sense of ownership.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters/MBA/JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD. Preferred Qualifications: 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience. Strong understanding of AI and Machine Learning concepts, with an emphasis on AI models in batch and real-time environments. Strong experience in data science, deep learning models, cloud computing, and experience with big data and broader AI/ML tools, platforms, and technologies. Relevant experience with the AI/ML cloud stack and architecting large enterprise systems. Proficiency with software development methodologies such as Agile and experience working with Scrum teams and matrix organizations. Prior experience working within an agile product development environment. Advanced proficiency in the use of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint). Modeling experience in the card industry or financial service company using for fraud, credit risk, payments is a plus. 7+ years of experience in developing and delivering Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence solutions at the enterprise or organizational level to solve customer or business problems. Experience in and/or significant exposure to the payments industry specifically, within new applications, fraud risk, identity risk, or Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Data Science. 10 years of experience in product management, with demonstrated ability to launch and manage new product releases being part of a matrix organization in a highly technical and evolving AI/ML space. Strong business acumen and knowledge of machine learning or data processing algorithms for risk and fraud applications. Experience in financial services and payments desired, but not required. Experience partnering with technologists using Agile or other expedited design and development methodologies. Working knowledge of Agile tools such as Confluence Wiki, Tableau, and JIRA is strongly preferred. Additional Information

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 213,000.00 to 332,950.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
