The Treasury Management & Sales position is responsible for assisting Relationship Managers with enhancing / deepening existing relationships and adding value to new relationships by cross selling treasury products and servicing the client base within the portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with Relationship Managers (RMs) in identifying the treasury needs of clients and prospects to enhance and deepen relationships by cross selling of products.
Develop, deliver and implement treasury related solutions and proposals to clients consistent with their needs.
Work closely with customers and prospects to understand their activities and volumes.
Engage with appropriate areas of the bank in order to provide on-going customer service and product support to clients.
Participate in joint business development calls with RMs and branch personnel to enhance sales pipeline of treasury products (all deposit accounts, remote deposit, Treasury Connect, lock box services).
Possess a thorough understanding of bank products, services and fees, including staying current with product updates and new product offerings to the marketplace.
Ensure compliance with MCBs business standards, code of conduct, and external regulatory requirements such as Patriot Act, KYC, AML, BSA, CTR, and SAR.
Participate in company and business line compliance training.
Ensure preventive measures are carried out to fully comply with current rules, regulations and internal policies relating to risks pertaining to BSA, USA Patriot Act, OFAC and other AML related issues
To identify, evaluate, monitor and make any recommendation deemed necessary to their respective Risk Management Committee in order to assess, reduce, eliminate or control any current or prospective risks to earnings or capital arising from violations of, or nonconformance with, laws, rules regulations, prescribed practices, internal policies and procedures or ethical standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and/or Certifications Requirements:
College Degree
Minimum Work Experience Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience working in Treasury Management Sales
Technical and/or Other Essential Knowledge:
Knowledge of banking regulations along with excellent communication and organizational skills are required. Fully bilingual (English and Spanish) with the ability to communicate in both languages, verbally and in written forms will serve as a key advantage.
Previous experience with Lotus Notes, Internet and MS Office Skills, including MS Word Level II, MS Excel Level II and MS PowerPoint Level I required.
