Overview
The Squires Group has a contract opportunity for a
React and R Shiny Application Developer
to work on a Federal project based in Washington, DC ( REMOTE work is available, but candidates must be local to DC
for occasional on-site presence.) As a React and R Shiny Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web applications that meet the needs of clients and stakeholders. The ideal candidate has experience in developing R Shiny applications and integrating them with DHIS2.
Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be
US Citizens, able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain interactive web applications using React and R Shiny.
Integrate R Shiny applications with the DHIS2 platform.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design technical solutions.
Write clean, efficient, and reusable code.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure application functionality and performance.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of the codebase and development processes.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure best practices are applied.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a React Developer or similar role.
Proficiency in JavaScript and React.
Experience with R Shiny and integrating Shiny applications with other platforms, ideally DHIS2.
Strong understanding of web development principles, including HTML, CSS, and RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

be US Citizens

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with data visualization libraries and tools.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Experience in the healthcare or public health sector.
Compensation
Competitive salary range of $75K-$95K, based on experience, qualifications, location, licensure and certifications.
The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
Employee benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, 401K plan and additional voluntary benefits. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
