Team Carney is seeking a Director of Business Development and Capture with experience in the federal sector. Ideal candidates will be thoroughly familiar with the federal government procurement process and possess a proven track record of closing new business.
Responsibilities:
Prospect for new opportunities. Develop a pipeline of new business opportunities for assigned accounts and lead the capture effort for identified opportunities. Develop successful capture plans. Oversee opportunity pursuit from qualification through award. Ensure disciplined capture and business development processes are implemented and followed. Nurture strategic partnerships across the industry. Responsible for proposal development team high-quality proposals.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree. Minimum of 5 years of experience with management of complex capture efforts for prime federal contracts. Knowledge of various contract vehicles, schedules, BPAs, OTAs, SBIRs/STTRs, IDIQs, etc. Must have demonstrated experience leading prime captures of single award contracts. Established track record of winning work both at the task and contract levels. Candidate must have experience and be comfortable supporting all phases of acquisition from initial marketing and communication planning to proposal development and submittal. Broad experience working inside the DoD with emphasis on Training, Human Capital, and Cyber/IT. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills are required. Self-motivated, independent thinker who requires minimum supervision. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Ability to travel on an as-needed basis. U.S. Citizenship is required. Individuals may also be subject to a background investigation.
