Goodwill Southeast Georgia is seeking a Director of Performance Excellence to lead strategic performance improvement projects across the organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring that key initiatives are effectively planned, resourced, and executed on time, contributing to operational excellence and aligning with our organizational goals. Lead and manage multiple performance improvement projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, strict adherence to timelines, and budget compliance. Standardization and Best Practices:
Implement and integrate project management best practices, tools, and methodologies to promote consistency across operations and departments. Baldrige Criteria Alignment:
Ensure all projects reflect the principles of the Baldrige Framework, emphasizing quality, efficiency, and strategic impact. Scope and Resource Management:
Define project scope, allocate resources effectively, and manage risks to ensure optimal project outcomes. Data-Driven Insights:
Collect, analyze, and interpret data to assess project performance, identify areas for improvement, and adjust plans to optimize results. Operations Support Optimize Processes:
Collaborate with department leaders to streamline workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and improve customer service standards across all sites. Implement SOPs:
Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent operations and adherence to best practices across all locations. Site-Specific Needs Assessment:
Conduct assessments to identify performance gaps at specific sites, and develop tailored improvement strategies. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), track progress, and report regularly to senior leadership on initiative performance and impact. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with departmental leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement, share insights, and coordinate efforts across interdependent projects. Resource Optimization:
Guide teams in the efficient utilization of resources across projects to maximize outcomes. Application of Best Practices and Quality Management Lean, Six Sigma, and Baldrige Integration:
Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Baldrige Framework principles to optimize processes, standardize operations, and improve productivity. Continuous Improvement Culture:
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by integrating process enhancement methodologies into daily operations and ongoing training programs. Communication of Change:
Effectively communicate change initiatives to all levels of the organization, ensuring alignment and minimizing disruptions during transitions. Training and Development for Performance Excellence Training Program Development:
Develop and deliver training programs focused on performance excellence and process improvement tools such as Lean and Six Sigma, empowering teams to implement and sustain improvements. Skill-Building and Empowerment:
Facilitate workshops and training sessions to build employee skills in identifying and executing performance improvement initiatives. Ongoing Support:
Provide ongoing coaching and support to teams as they apply new skills, ensuring continuous development and improvement. Performance Reporting and Strategic Recommendations Progress Tracking and Reporting:
Track and report project and operational performance, preparing detailed reports for leadership on KPIs and progress. Data-Driven Decision Support:
Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support leadership decision-making and strategic planning. Comprehensive Outcome Reporting:
Compile and communicate regular updates on project status, site performance, and organizational improvements, highlighting success metrics and areas for continued focus. What You’ll Need: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Project Management, or a related field 7+ years in project management, performance improvement, or operational excellence, with a focus on multi-site operations preferred. Strong understanding and application of project management principles, as well as methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, or Kaizen. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, or similar) and data analysis techniques to drive project insights. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and navigate complex project requirements. Change management expertise, including the ability to guide teams through organizational transitions. Highly adaptable, results-driven, and passionate about driving excellence and achieving tangible project outcomes.
